EGL Romania was established 2003 as a subsidiary of the European energy trading company EGL Group. It is managed by Petre Stroe and Naske Afezolli and has 17 employees.

The further development of the natural gas business and own assets is of strategic importance to EGL. EGL Romania was founded as the bridgehead for natural gas trading and transport. It has already positioned itself successfully on the Romanian energy market being one of the top power and gas suppliers for end-users. EGL Romania is also an important electricity export resource for the portfolio in Southeast and Central Europe.
