EGL Hellas is one of the most active traders in the growing wholesale electricity market of Greece. It has managed to add considerable value to the energy sector of Greece for several years, exercising successfully imports and exports between Greece and practically all other countries in Southeast Europe and Italy. Moreover, EGL Hellas is constantly contributing to the efforts for further liberalisation of the energy markets in Greece.
In the framework of the Group’s strategy, EGL Hellas is active in the whole chain of the electricity and natural gas sectors, across markets and commodities.
Its activities include also:
- trading of Natural Gas, focusing currently on LNG trading for the supply of power generating and industrial plants,
- the development of electricity generating asset projects in Greece, including thermal and renewable power stations,
- the supply of electricity to final customers, providing products tailored to meet their needs,
- trading of CO2 certificates, guarantees of origin and energy from renewable sources
