Three parameters
Market developments are monitored according to three parameters: location, development over time, and the various types of energy (commodities). In other words, EGL’s specialists analyse the developments in various European countries, follow the developments in the different commodity markets and relate the findings from these markets to a specific time frame.
Analysis, models and reports
EGL’s centre of excellence for market analysis uses various quantitative models and monitors political and economic developments. The results of these analyses are price forecasts for energy and CO2 as well as assessments of future European energy market trends. The findings are made available to the entire EGL group via a professional information platform. They make an invaluable contribution to the success of the trading activities and to operational optimisation of the group’s own power plants.
EGL publishes its market analysis in regular reports which cover a wide range of topics and markets. The company makes these reports available to its customers and in certain cases to the general public.
