Subproject Manager Accounting
I’ve been at EGL for six years now, so I’m something of a seasoned veteran in a company that has changed and developed so rapidly, particularly over the last few years. I came to EGL after completing a vocational training course with another energy company. After a year as assistant to the business controller (Energy Settlement), I wanted to further my knowledge of accounting procedures. Fortunately, an opportunity soon arose and I was able to switch to Accounting HQ. There I learned about the very diverse activities of the department and became a genuine all-rounder. At the same time as taking on these new responsibilities, I completed the Federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting. EGL helped me through this training course.
Anyone who shows commitment to EGL and an interest in the business is going to get on fast. At the age of 23, I already held a managerial position as head of Accounting Energy at EGL AG. In the meantime, my experience has enabled me to take on a new challenge as subproject manager for the introduction of SAP at EGL Group. I am able to put my earlier experience to good use in this new project, for example to harmonize the interfaces between our trading systems and SAP applications.
After the end of this project, I’m sure I’ll find another exciting challenge at EGL that I will be glad to take on. For example, I could help with the SAP roll-out at one of the subsidiaries. The company is developing all the time and that means new perspectives are opening up for employees as well. I really like the working atmosphere here. It’s not a bit formal, but very cooperative and forthright. People don’t beat about the bush. We just put our heads together and talk things through. That’s the way I like to do things.
