EGL Bulgaria was founded in 2006 as a SEE subsidiary of the EGL Group, a European energy trading company with its own assets and natural gas business. EGL Bulgaria is actively involved in cross-border electricity trading with companies in countries such as Greece, FYROM, Serbia and Romania. EGL Bulgaria is currently opening up further development opportunities for EGL in South Eastern Europe including cross border activities with Turkey. EGL Bulgaria will start trading electricity on the domestic Bulgarian market in the fore-seeable future. The company is also involved in various studies and evaluations related to asset projects in Bulgaria.
